Natalie double-majored in Gender and Women’s Studies and Biology at Bowdoin College. As a leader of the Bowdoin Women’s Association and a trained sex educator, she facilitated discussions about sexual health and wellness for peer groups. During her internship at Sustainable Health Enterprises (SHE), an organization that helps women in Rwanda manufacture and sell affordable menstrual pads, she worked on a menstrual health management training manual for Rwandan teachers and students. Her experiences at Bowdoin and SHE reinforced the cross-cultural necessity to empower girls and women to understand their bodies and the significance of working for companies founded and led by women. She’s currently incorporating gender issues into her English classes in Madrid and she’s eager to pursue further involvement in the sex tech world.
